Marinaside Waterfront, Vancouver BC
Extending eastwards from the southeast end of Davie Street to Coopers Park along the False Creek Waterfront is a section of pedestrian walk, bike path and streetscape designed by PD Group. With a grade difference between street and waterfront there were opportunities to create stepped seating spaces overlooking the water and provide ramp and stair connections. “Balcony” overlooks create the space for unique pieces of public art while planters soften the division between street and waterfront. Tree planting and planters separate bikes from pedestrians.
