Coopers Park, Vancouver BC
As part of the waterfront open space masterplan for the Concord Pacific lands north of False Creek, Coopers Park straddles the Cambie Street Bridge. PD Group developed the detailed design of what is now a Vancouver city park on previously contaminated land. It contains a focal point gazebo overlooking the marina, all-weather play spaces under the bridge deck, interpretive elements referencing the site’s former industrial heritage, a combined waterfront pedestrian and cycle route together with varied green spaces that provide informal recreation opportunities for park users.
